A member of the AVA, American Volkssport Association since 1988	A member of the Texas Volkssport Association (TVA) and AVA in the International Federation of Popular Sports (IVV).

The Marsch-und Wandergruppe is a non-profit organization promoting good health, recreation, and fellowship through walking. Our volkssporting events are open to the public and everyone is welcome. Membership in the MUW is open to all regardless of race, creed, color, religion, or national origin. The club hosts one year round event - the Don Flick Memorial year-round event in New Braunfels,Texas and two traditional walk events: the Wurstfest Volksmarsch is held during the first weekend of Wurstfest and the Spring Walk is held in early spring.
